one of the coolest moths I’ve ever seen! not sure what he is, but I had to take him home just to get some photos.

got lots of notes on this little guy today… I’ve been told by some very helpful moth-loving bloggers that he is a tiger moth (of the Isabella variety - wow, they’re so neat!), member of the grammia genus (erebidae—formerly arctiidae).

i’ve always loved the relationship between marceline and bonnibel. it is clear that these two love and care deeply for one another, and would be there for each other when it really matters most.

ordered a hoop through this Halifax studio this week for pickup tomorrow! I will be working at Halifax’s first HelmFest all night and I’ve been using homemade hula hoops for over six months now… I figured it was time to buy myself a decent one. I feel like I’ve hit a plateau with the ones I’ve made so I hope this one inspires me to practice more :) can’t wait to see it! I picked hot pink glitter, black glitter and orange friction tape :)

tinytangerines:

Less graceful than the last video, but they say if you’re not dropping your hoop you’re not challenging yourself enough, right? ;)

right! you’re doing so awesome Kelly Anne! I can’t wait to pick up my new hoop tomorrow!

Still quite a bit left to do, but it’s really coming together! I like the colors in this dress so much more then my red and white version. I think it looks a lot less juvenile and way more magical.

It’s made from organza and chiffon with a tulle overlay and $60 of fake flowers.

I have information about how I’m making it here! And a video about it here

The Rethink Homelessness campaign aims to dispel stereotypes and remind us that the circumstances which lead to living on the streets could happen to each and every one of us.
